Care Bears: Return to Thunderdome

In a sun-scorched wasteland, grizzled drifter Tenderheart Bear is forced into the Thunderdome to settle a blood debt with his old rival Grumpy Bear, only to discover the arena’s true rule is that the loser must receive unconditional emotional support. After nuclear winter melted the Kingdom of Caring into irradiated dunes, the surviving Care Bears roam the wastes in patched-together Cloud Cars. Tenderheart Bear, once the heart of the team, now hauls water for Bartertown’s fuel refinery, haunted by the day he failed to stop the final meltdown. When the iron-fisted ruler Aunty Entity Bear learns he still possesses the last working Care Bear Stare emitter, she pits him against his estranged partner Grumpy Bear in the Thunderdome: two enter on zip-lines, only one leaves with the emitter—and the loser must endure “full-spectrum caring” from the crowd. Inside the spinning cage of rusted playground equipment and razor-wire plush, the bears circle while the mob chants the old rules. Instead of blades they are handed oversized friendship bracelets and forced to share feelings under penalty of electrocution. Grumpy Bear weaponizes decades of resentment; Tenderheart counters with earnest questions about Grumpy’s inner child. The battle escalates into a literal tug-of-war with a giant glowing heart that overloads when both bears finally admit they miss each other. The dome shorts out in a rainbow mushroom cloud, the crowd weeps, and Aunty Entity is buried under an avalanche of unsolicited hugs. Tenderheart and Grumpy drive off into the sunset sharing a single canteen, the emitter left behind as a night-light for the new settlement.
