Reginald Benn is a quietly desperate man in a grey 1970s cul-de-sac who visits a mysterious changing room each day, slipping through a magic door into a different world with each costume he tries. But when he dons a dark rabbit suit, he doesn't emerge into adventure — he wakes in a suburban street at 3:17am to find a giant hollow-eyed rabbit named Frank whispering that the world has twenty-eight days left. Now each costume pulls him into a different timeline fragment, and the changing room has stopped opening back to the ordinary world. Reginald must stitch the broken doors back into order before every version of him dissolves — but Frank keeps appearing in the mirrors, wearing Reginald's face.
